If you’re thinking about booking a boudoir session, it’s natural to want to prepare and make sure everything goes smoothly. But here's the truth: you don’t need to lose weight, hit the gym, or change anything about yourself. Boudoir is about celebrating YOU exactly as you are—your beauty, your unique spirit, and your unique story. That being said, there are a few simple and easy steps you can take in the days leading up to your shoot to ensure you feel pampered and confident when it’s time to step in front of the camera. Let’s dive in! 1. Skin Care is Key!Your skin will be the star of the show, so give it some extra love in the days leading up to your session. Exfoliating a couple days prior will leave your skin feeling smooth, while moisturizing daily will keep everything hydrated and glowing. Dry, flaky skin isn’t anyone’s best look—so make sure to treat yourself to some extra TLC before your session! 2. Stay Hydrated! This one’s simple but crucial. Drink plenty of water in the days before your shoot to ensure that your skin looks plump, fresh, and healthy. Hydration is the secret to glowing skin! 3. Try On Your Outfits –If you have already picked out some gorgeous outfits for your session, be sure to try them on! Pack your bags the day before so that you don't forget anything. Remember that Bare Heart has a fully stocked client closet (shoes too) for you to browse and use! Some ladies show up with multiple bags and some with nothing at all and either way is fine! 4. Treat Yourself to a Mani/Pedi –A mani/pedi might seem like a small detail, but it can make a big difference. A little TLC will help you feel pampered and put together. 5. No Need to Change – You’re Perfect Just as You AreThis is the most important tip of all: You don’t need to change a thing about yourself. Boudoir is about embracing your authentic self, and there’s no need to alter your body to feel confident or beautiful. Whether you’ve got curves, muscles, scars or anything else, boudoir celebrates all of it. Just come as you are, and we’ll make sure you shine. 6. Relax and Have Fun!Finally, one of the best things you can do to prepare for your boudoir shoot is to simply relax and have fun with it!
